Caleb Byron

Associate Pastor
Born and raised in Maine, Pastor Caleb Byron is now living the California dream as part of the team at Tulare First Baptist Church. With over a decade of experience in pastoral ministry, Caleb has a deep passion for guiding people in their spiritual journeys—and making sure there’s always room for a little fun along the way.
Before landing at Tulare First Baptist, Caleb spent six and a half years serving as the Student Ministries Pastor at Modesto Covenant Church, where he poured into the next generation, building relationships, and helping students navigate the exciting (and sometimes awkward) season of life known as adolescence. His time there deepened his love for helping people grow in their faith and live out their purpose, whether they were teenagers or just young at heart.
Caleb doesn’t just love Sunday mornings and Bible studies—he’s a firm believer that ministry happens in real life, at the table, and playing games. He’s spent 7 years coaching soccer, 6 years working in public schools, and countless hours playing connecting with others through camps, retreats, events, sports and even board games. Through all of that, Caleb learned that a Jesus shaped life is best lived in community.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Bible and Youth Ministry from Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA, and his Master of the Arts in Christian Formation from North Park University in Chicago through the Ignite program, because he’s always looking for ways to grow and learn how to better serve others. His passion for ministry is rooted in a deep belief that God has called him to invest in people and help them grow spiritually, mentally, physically, and relationally.
In 2020, Caleb met the love of his life, Hannah Hernandez, and after three years of shared adventures, laughter, and a lot of prayers, they got married in November 2023. Together, they’re excited to serve their church, build community, and live out their shared mission of making a lasting impact for Christ.
When Caleb’s not leading, teaching, or coaching, you’ll probably find him hanging out with people, competing in a game of racquetball, or strategizing his next win in a game of wits.
His favorite verse is Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men”
